* Biography Mike Wallace - Director, GRI global
Mike Wallace is the US Focal Point for the
Global Reporting Initiative and is responsible for supporting the growth of sustainability reporting in the US.
Mike has almost 20-years experience advising companies, governments and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in their respective efforts to develop and implement sustainability initiatives. He has worked with both local and global organizations on the integration of sustainability programs and has authored numerous articles on sustainability, corporate social responsibility and corporate environmental performance in legal, professional and topical publications.
He gained his international expertise while working for ERM in the US and Australia. His work in the sustainability field began in Australia and was refined while running his own advisory services firm for over 5-years. Over the course of his career he has advised corporate clients including UTC, Home Depot, Colgate-Palmolive and Genentech; non-profit clients ICLEI, Global Footprint Network and Corporate Ethics International and government agencies ranging from Environment Australia, the States of New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia, the US EPA, the State of California and the US Army, Navy & Marines.
Biography Mikko Valtonen - Business Development Director Sustainability BWise
Mikko Valtonen has more than ten years of experience in assisting global multinational enterprises create and implement sustainability strategies and processes. Mikko has played an integral part in clients having been selected among the top 100 most sustainable companies globally by the Davos group. His experience with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), GRI reporting and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) risk management projects is of great value and enriches the current BWise offering. It enables BWise clients to manage their sustainability performance as part of their business processes within the BWise platform.
Mikko Valtonen founded Proventia Solutions Oy, a leading Scandinavian sustainability software and consulting company in 1999. Mikko has his MSc from the University of Jyväskylä
